It's a big deal, Carol Bird's 22 million dollar on Carbon Beach.  It's in 4 days!  There have been many, many articles questioning whether or not we can still call Carbon Beach "Billionaire's Beach" at this point based on the fact that homes of such opulence are being taken to auction.  But this, in addition to other auctions done in Malibu, would seem to indicate that even Malibu is not immune to the market fluctuations, and auctions are a way to ensure a buyer.
