The photo of the week is
Rhamnus californica or the California coffeeberry! It is native to Malibu, and other parts of Southern California. This plant leads an interesting life, in terms of color: it goes from being red, to purple, and at the end of its life the berries turn black. It is recommended by the California Native Plant Society for landscaping in Malibu- so keep it in mind!
